You can enrich your career wellbeing in many ways. Here at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, there are diverse services and resources available for you related to Career Wellbeing. Below is a list of resources on career wellbeing both here at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo and in the community at large.

SKILLSOFT

Required Training

Faculty and staff may access Skillsoft on the My Cal Poly Portal under “Staff and Faculty Training” Tab. The site provides required compliance and safety training that employees must complete (e.g., Conflicts of Interest; Defensive Driving; FERPA; safety training; Sexual Harassment Prevention; Title IX).

Professional Development Courses

Skillsoft also provides optional professional development courses specific to different jobs and skills. The resources are provided by CSU Systemwide Professional Development.

lynda.com is a free tool that helps faculty and staff learn software, creative, and business skills to achieve personal and professional goals. Cal Poly faculty and staff have free, unlimited access to the lynda.com tutorials taught by great teachers who are also working professionals. The site has many training opportunities for a wide range of interests. This service is sponsored by ITS and can be accessed on the My Cal Poly Portal under “Staff and Faculty Training” Tab.

STRENGHTSQUEST

StrengthsQuest is an innovative program from the Gallup Organization that can help you focus on exploring and developing your strengths. The program helps you to become aware of your personal strengths potential and helps you approach all aspects of your achievement from a strengths-based perspective.
