Required Safety Education: AlcoholEdu, Haven, & Haven Plus

Cal Poly cares about the health and wellbeing of its students and we recognize that there may be some concerns regarding substance use and sexual violence that students might have for themselves and for their peers. To assist students with these concerns, Cal Poly has partnered with EverFi to offer all new and returning Cal Poly students an opportunity to participate in a mandatory online safety and education program. Whether you are a new student or a returning student, these online education programs will assist you in navigating some difficult topics that you may encounter during your time at school.

All Cal Poly students will receive an email to their @calpoly.edu address with detailed instructions about this requirement. Failure to complete this requirement by the deadlines below will result on a registration hold and prevent students from registering for classes. Please read the following instructions and completion dates carefully:

AlcEdu-Haven-comp

2017 Newly Admitted Students Click Here: AlcoholEdu & Haven

All newly admitted students are required to complete AlcoholEdu for College and Haven Understanding Sexual Assault.

Step 1:  Check your Cal Poly Email.
Step 2:  Login to the online course with your My Cal Poly Login.
Step 3:  Complete Part 1 of AlcoholEdu & Haven by September 6, 2017 (1.5 – 2 hours)
Step 4:  About 30 days later, complete Part 2 of AlcoholEdu & Haven by November 7, 2017 (15-30 minutes)

Please be assured that all survey responses are confidential. The university will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.

All Continuing Students Click Here: Haven

All continuing students are required to take Haven regardless of whether that student has taken AlcoholEdu and Haven in the past.

Step 1:  Check your Cal Poly Email.
Step 2:  Login to the online course with your My Cal Poly Login.
Step 3:  Complete Part 1 of Haven by September 6, 2017 (1 hour)
Step 4:  About 30 days later, complete Part 2 of Haven by November 7, 2017 (15 minutes)
Step 5:  Contact the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities by email (osrr@calpoly.edu) or by phone (805) 756-2794 for any support you might need regarding this topic!
