Financial Wellbeing Resources


Financial Wellbeing will allow you to meet current obligations, prepare for a secure financial future, and make choices that facilitate enjoyment in life. Below is a list of resources on financial wellbeing at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo and in the community at large.

FINANCIAL WELLBEING COMMITTEE

The Financial Wellbeing Committee under Campus Wellbeing is a multidisciplinary team of students, staff and faculty who work together to provide programs, services and resources to improve the financial wellbeing of the campus community members. FINANCIAL AID

The Financial Aid Office helps students plan their finances and organize resources to cover their college costs. Financial assistance is a resource designed to supplement the cost of education, and is not intended to be used as a student's sole means of income. The types and amounts of aid Cal Poly awards or recommends are subject to availability of funds, enrollment status, and financial need. Cal Poly students have a variety of financial aid programs available for assistance. Programs vary in eligibility criteria, award amounts, and repayment options. FOOD PANTRY

The Food Pantry at the PULSE office provides free food for students who may be facing certain situations, including financial hardship. More information on the Food Pantry is available at

STUDENT ACCOUNTS

The Student Accounts Office is a section of the Fiscal Services Department within the Administration and Finance Division. Student Accounts is responsible for the accounting and administration of students' financial activities in accordance with Federal, State and CSU policy. CAL POLY CARES

The Cal Poly Cares Grants provide opportunities to support students in their highest areas of need. Students may apply for the Cal Poly Cares Grant for the following areas of support: 1) Housing and meal plans, 2) Cal Poly scholars, 3) Personal care, 4) Academic support and materials, 5) Professional clothing, and 6) Student emergency grants.
