Optometry Clinic
- Optometrist: Derek Coombs, O.D.
- Appointments: Every Friday between 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (30 minutes)
- Fee: $25.00
- Note: Written prescription for glasses only – No contacts. The prescription can be taken to any optical office for glasses. Dr. Coombs will work with students requesting contact lenses. Please refer them to his office (805 541-4127) in town.
Remind student to bring sunglasses to appointment.
Oral Health Clinic
- Dentist: Ryan Ross, D.D.S.
- Appointments: Every Tuesday between 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. (10 min.) Appointments must be made consecutively.
- Fee: No Fee
- Note: Services provided include visual exam for decay and dental x-rays. Patients can be referred to Dr. Ross’s office (805 541-5800) if they need dental work, at a cost to the student.
Orthopedic Clinic
- Physician: Dr. Sean Devine, M.D.
- Appointments: Every Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Fee: No Fee
- A Health Services clinician must refer patients to Ortho Clinic.
- Patients are scheduled to arrive between 10:30-11:00 am.
Travel Clinic
- (Fridays 8:10 a.m. – 10:50 a.m., by appointment)
- Students who will travel internationally have the opportunity to receive health advice specifically tailored to their itinerary.
- Many of the CDC required and/or recommended immunizations and prescriptions specific to your destination are available.
- You must bring a complete itinerary of your travel plans and your immunization records to your appointment.
- Please call 756-1211 to schedule an appointment. Remember that many immunizations are given in series over several months, so plan ahead and schedule your appointment as soon as possible, so all of your requirements can be completed before departure. (more information on travel clinic)
Physical Exams Required by Outside Agency
- (Tuesdays 8:10 a.m. – 10:50 a.m., by appointment)
- A physical exam is required for any medical documentation involving the completion of a form or statement of good health.
- These are scheduled in two parts:
A preliminary exam with a nurse and
the actual physical exam with a member of our medical provider staff (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or physician).
- Following this preliminary appointment, the nurse will schedule your second appointment with the medical provider for the completion of the physical.
- There is a $25 fee for the completed physical plus additional fees for outside labs, if needed. These fees will be due at the first appointment.
- Please call 756-1211 to schedule the preliminary appointment. Any required paperwork or forms must be brought to this first appointment.
Women's Health
- Womens’ Health Appointments are a two session process for patients coming in for their first annual pelvic exam.
- First: Patient needs to schedule a pre-Pap with a health educator. At the conclusion of this appointment, the client will receive a card with the date of completion and signature of educator.
- Second: To schedule the actual Pap (Pelvic exam) the patient needs to present the completion card at the Front Desk. Pre-Pap and annual Pap appointments cannot be scheduled on the same day.
