Assisting the Emotionally Distressed Student

Dear Colleague,

"You will have contact occasionally with students whose problems or behaviors cause you concern or discomfort. This online booklet provides straightforward advice on how to cope with and assist troubled or difficult students. Go to the links on the left for topics that will be helpful to you.  One key strategy is to contact Health and Counseling Services at extension 62511 for consultation and help. Our services include consultation with staff, as well as crisis intervention, stress management and personal counseling for students."

Counseling Services is located in the Health Center. We invite you to visit our offices. We look forward to joining with you in making Cal Poly an optimal learning environment.
